Emergency Dental
Appointment Protocol
- Dedicated Emergency clinics are set aside every day during our working hours to the maximum of 2 hours starting from 12.30pm.
- Patients are advised to contact the practice from 9am on the day to be allocated a time for an appointment, these appointments are booked in order of first come first served basis, priority is given to patients in active treatment.
- In case of unavailability of an emergency clinic in the practice due to any reason a mutual arrangement has been made with Church Lane Dental Practice (our Buddy Practice) to cover our emergency patients.
- In case of facial swellings, bleeding, trauma and severe toothaches if the emergency clinic is full the reception staff will seek advice from the dentist and endeavour to arrange an appointment on the day outside of emergency clinic hours.
- If there is no possibility of organising an appointment on the day patients are advised and contact numbers are given to the patients for in-hours and out of hour’s local LAT emergency services.
- All emergency appointment information is displayed in the waiting rooms and on our practice answer machine for patient’s convenience.
